Watch out! Many salons and Clinics offer IPL ( Intense Pulsed Light) and are technically not Lasers at all. IPL machines are generally much lower powered than a Medical Laser i.e Candela GentleLase PRO and are therefore much less effective.
Due to lack of regulation in Ireland so many salons are buying these low power machines and claiming they are offering true Laser Hair Removal when in fact they are not! These lower powered machines at best will do a very poor job and will cost a lot of money without results.
It is so important that you find out what type of machine they are using so always ask! Make sure the salon or clinic only uses a Medical Laser which has been FDA approved as this means it is proven to work.
